Dear Trey, (and others like you)

A letter from a caring fan:

Dear Trey, (and others like you)

I see your struggle. I might can’t relate to it, what you feel or what you are going through, but I hear what you are saying. So does God. He loves you more than you can fathom, but he does not condone your sin. For that matter he does not condone any sin what so ever. He is a just and righteous God.

I’m saying this out of love and concern for not only you, but all the other people out there like you. Struggling with the same thing.

Some may say that just saying you are gay but not acting on it is not a sin, that it is okay. Which is not true. If you have embraced it and accepted it to become who you think you should be then it is already is a sin. Once you accept it you have acted on it.

I know you and others say that the teaching of the church is hurtful. The teachings that the church teaches is the truth, the holy word of God. The truth does hurt and it does offend, especially if you are living in sin. If you read Romans 1:24-32, you will see that the lifestyle you and others have chosen to embrace is not of God. Which leads to false teachers, the ones telling you that what you are doing is okay. That God is okay with it and you are not in the wrong. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 says: “For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase a myth.”

My next issue is saying that you’re a “gay Christian”, those words do not fit together. You are either one or the other. It all comes down to this simple truth: Christians are supposed to be Christ like. Nothing about homosexuality is Christ like, therefore you can not be a “gay Christian”.

All of you have fallen into this trap of being deceived by the enemy’s lies. I’m not sure how it came to happen, but it did. He has whispered these lies of attractions for the same sex in your ears and put these sinful thoughts in your heads, until you finally caved and gave in. Romans 1:25 tells us this: “They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshipped and served things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen”.  So accepting this lie of being gay and saying it is who you are, you have traded Gods truth for a lie and you are now serving yourself and your selfish desires.

Yes we all sin. Yes no sin is greater than another. The difference with homosexuality is you have embraced it and made it who you are. You are not ashamed of it. You are not repentant for it. Therefore you openly live in your sin everyday. God does forgive, but only if you are willing to let go of your sins.

This world is changing, but God never changes. His word never changes. It will not change to accommodate your lifestyle. Hebrews 13:8 says: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” and Malachi 3:6 says: I am the Lord and I do not change. That is why your descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed”.

I want to end this letter with this:
2 Corinthians 5:20
“ So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”.

I plead Come back to God!
